RUM SAUCE

Created: Many Years Ago

½ C butter (1 stick) butter
3-4 Tablespoons of Flour
½ C Sugar
1-1/2 C boiling water
1 tsp pure vanilla
¼ C dark rum (I prefer Bacardi)

In a small sauce pan melt butter, add flour cook stirring constantly for 1 – 2 minutes
Add boiling water, stir constantly
Add Sugar, continue stirring
Then stir in vanilla
Lastly add rum, you can cook off the alcohol or not... ;)
